Hope volunteer firefighters recently finished their final inspections of the department's new fire truck.
E-ONE Fire engines in Ocala, Fla., released photos of the new truck last week.
According to the company, the truck is a 2017 E-ONE Typhoon custom pumper. It's built on a four-door, six occupant climate-controlled cab and chassis with full height, full depth driver and officer side compartments.
The new truck is powered by a Cummins 450 horsepower ISL engine and a 3000 EVS transmission. It has a 1500 gallons per minute single stage pump with a 1,030 gallon water tank and a 30-gallon foam tank.
The department expects to take possession of the truck early this month. The pumper truck is being paid for with a $492,000 grant.
